Sparrow Award
The Sparrows Award recognises an outstanding mid-career researcher from Australia or New Zealand. Eligible candidates must be more than five years post-PhD, lead an independent research laboratory, and be the senior author of a peer-reviewed original journal article that forms the basis of their submitted abstract.
Each year, the Lorne Proteins Organising Committee selects the highest-ranked abstract meeting these criteria, and the recipient is honoured with the Sparrows Award in recognition of their scientific excellence and leadership.
