Welcome BBQ

Lorne Proteins are bringing back the Welcome BBQ taking place at the Cumberland Lorne Resort from 6pm.

6:00 pm - 7:45 pm

Trade Mixer

On Sunday night, there will be a trade mixer from 7:30 – 9:30pm after the evening session, some drinks were provided amongst the trade displays. Partners were welcome to purchase a ticket (in advance). Tickets were included for delegates in the registration for the welcome function but tickets need to be selected in registration. 

Conference Dinner

In 2018 the conference dinner will be held at The View by Lorne Hotel for the Wednesday night. Tickets include entree, main course and some drinks at the restaurant on the main street in Lorne. Those who purchase tickets in advance will find their ticket in their name badge papers. The restaurant will be expecting you to be seated by 7:30pm. Dress in casual.

Post Dinner Social

Following the dinner, you are encouraged to return to Cumberland Lorne Resort at around 9:30pm for some dessert and entertainment.

Student ‘Meet and Greet’ with Invited Speakers

Student delegates are invited to attend the ‘Meet and Greet’ with Invited Speakers on Tuesday 6th February from 1:10 pm. This function provids an excellent opportunity for students to meet world leading international and local protein scientists. We understand that it can be very intimidating to ask questions of such eminent scientists or to divert them from in depth conversations, so as with the 2017 function, a number of early career researchers will be available to facilitate discussions, hopefully making this an enjoyable and rewarding experience for everyone. Make sure you come along with some questions in mind for the speakers. Also, there is a short presentation from guest speakers. Please note this event is free but is often booked out, so make your selection in the addons section as soon as possible. If you don't receive a ticket but would like to attend please contact Cara Maltman at ASN Events or visit the registration desk onsite in case of cancellations.
