A number of poster presentation prizes are awarded at each conference (See past award winners). Each poster has at least one judge allocated, who will usually be an invited international or local speaker.

Each judge has approximately 7-9 posters to assess. The judge will assess each poster presentation on scientific content, visual clarity and quality of verbal communication. The best poster presentation as determined by each judge will be awarded a poster prize

Student delegates are invited to attend the”Meet and Greet” with Invited Speakers on Monday 10th February (capped at 70 students).

This function provides an excellent opportunity for students to meet world leading international and local protein scientists. We understand that it can be very intimidating to ask questions of such eminent scientists or to divert them from in depth conversations, so as with the 2019 function, a number of early career researchers will be available to facilitate discussions, hopefully making this an enjoyable and rewarding experience for everyone.

Make sure you come along with some questions in mind for the speakers.

Any queries regarding students initiatives should be forwarded to Dr Diana Stojanovski (Chair Student Initiatives).
