Dr Jason Gestwicki
Dr. Jason Gestwicki is a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF). His group uses high throughput screening (HTS) and medicinal chemistry to develop inhibitors of the protein-protein interactions between molecular chaperones and their co-chaperones. They use these molecules to better understand how chaperone networks operate in diseases of protein misfolding, such as neurodegenerative disorders. Dr. Gestwicki earned a Ph.D. at University of Wisconsin-Madison and performed postdoctoral work at Stanford University. He has published >100 manuscripts and is an inventor on 18 issued or pending patents.
